PMBJAY J&K organises free health camp, distributes medical kits in Srinagar
SRINAGAR – 10: Under the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaotsav celebrations, the J&K chapter of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Ayushadhi Yojna organizing free health camp at JLNM Hospital Srinagar and distributed free medical kits among the beneficiaries.
The programme was held to aware general public about the benefits of the Scheme which is helping people round the country to get quality medicines on very affordable rates.
HOD Department of Community Medicine SMHS, Dr S M Salim was Chief Guest while asDy.MS Dr Bilquis JLNM, senior faculty and other concerned were also present on the occasion.
Nodal Officer, PMBJAY, J&K and Ladakh, Rifat Nazir said that eveny was organised to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrut Mahoatsav programme and during the daylong health camp hundreds of patients were seen by various doctors and free medical kits were distributed among them.
She said that such programmes are important to organise so that people who need medical care and can’t afford can avail benefits under this scheme.
She further said that more such programmes will be held in others parts of UT to reach as many as deserving people to facilitate them free of cost medical facilities.
