University of Tübingen: KIBOR celebrates its 20th anniversary
The Catholic Institute for Vocational Religious Education (KIBOR) at the University of Tübingen is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Founded in 2001, the team headed by Prof. Dr. Reinhold Boschki and Prof. (apl.) Dr. Mathias Gronover organized religious education at vocational schools. On this basis, scientifically sound and innovative practical materials for religious instruction are developed. The KIBOR is financed by the German Bishops’ Conference and the State of Baden-Württemberg as well as the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart and funded by the “Religion and Vocational Education” foundation.
The anniversary celebration will take place on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Audimax of the Neue Aula (Geschwister Scholl Platz).
Guests will be the Baden-Württemberg Minister of Culture Theresa Schopper, Bishop Dr. Gebhard Fürst, the chairman of the Secretariat for Education of the German Bishops’ Conference Dr. Andreas Verhülsdonk and central cooperation partners of the institute. The keynote address will be held by Prof. Dr. Albert Biesinger, co-initiator and first director of KIBOR, on the subject of “God, life, profession: 20 years of institute work as a relationship life”.
The interested public is cordially invited to follow the event on livestream: https://youtu.be/lb9KQps4Zcw . Unfortunately, due to the necessary hygiene measures, only invited guests can be admitted to the Audimax.
