DDC Pulwama listens to people’s issues at Rahmoo
PULWAMA : A public grievances redress camp was held today here at Rahmoo Pulwama.
District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Chowdhary listened to the public grievances and demands in presence of DDC member, District Officers, PRIs and general public of Rahmoo and adjoining Panchayats.
The PRIs and Locals put forth their issues and demands and demanded Slow pace of Rahmoo Bridge, electric Poles, Irrigation for Karewas of Rahmoo, Macadamization of link roads, Doctor and other paramedical staff at PHC Rahmoo, Requirement of Ambulance, Opening of Fire Service Station, and other several issues related to water, power supply, road connectivity, health etc raised by the public during the camp.
While responding to issues and demands of DDC and PRIs and the public, the DDC assured that all their genuine demands and grievances will be redressed at the earliest.
Addressing the camp, the DDC said that the main aim of conducting such programmes is to improve service delivery and grievances redressal mechanism. He further said the Tehsil, Block and District level officers would remain available at these events to hear the public grievances for their on the spot redressal.
Meanwhile, several grievances were forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt resolution through an established tracking system. In the programme, a review was also taken by DDC on all the previous issues projected by local people.
Moreover, instructions were also passed to the departmental functionaries for visiting their respective jurisdictions and listening to the grievances of the general public, besides holding awareness programmes, highlighting various individual beneficiary schemes across the panchayats.
Directions were passed to Tehsildar Rajpora to demarcate the state land outside Govt Higher Secondary School and handed over the education department for upgraded the developmental infrastructure of the institute.
Among others the darbar was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Dr Sheikh Ab Aziz, DDC Member, Javid Rahim Bhat, PRIs and concerned officers.
