JNMC faculty completes Ph.D in Plastic Surgery

 

Aligarh : Prof Imran Ahmad, Chairman, Department of Department of Plastic Surgery, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has done remarkable applied research in Plastic Surgery. He has been awarded a Ph.D in Plastic Surgery.

Prof Imran did his research on ‘Nerve Regeneration through a combined Autologous Conduit (Vein and Muscle Grafts)’.

Acknowledging the role of supervisors, he said: “When I was pursuing MS (General Surgery), my supervisor was the present AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor—who not only provided me with the academic guidance and practical support from the inception of the project to the submission of the thesis, but always kept motivating me to do a Ph.D in Plastic Surgery. Similarly, Prof Arshad Hafeez Khan gave me adequate supervision and mentorship and was invariably interested in my project”.
