Webinar on ‘Qualification for Industry 4.0’
Aligarh : Usman Ali, Didactic-Trainer, Festo India Private Limited emphasised that since the growing trends in the realm of automation, data exchange in technology, and processes within the manufacturing industry are bringing structural changes in the industry; students must re-think and prepare to take advantage of the plethora of opportunities and overcome the challenges enabled by ever-increasing technological change.
He was delivering a lecture in the webinar on ‘Qualification for Industry 4.0’of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Z H College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
He added: As we move farther into the future, the education system will need to support students to develop the skills and mindset to adjust in the ushering fourth industrial revolution.
After the welcome address, Prof M Muzammil (Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering) pointed out that the Industry 4.0 will dramatically change the way we relate to one another, live, work, and educate our students and these shifts are enabled by smart technologies, including artificial intelligence, big data, augmented reality, blockchain, the Internet of Things, and automation.
He added that since advancing technology is changing industry at unprecedented speed, students must be prepared to engage in a world alongside smart machines—for which they will need to be educated differently.
Prof Faisal Talib and Ateeb Ahmad Khan coordinated the webinar while Prof Akhter Hussain Ansari, extended the vote of thanks.
