Rs.11.67 lakh released as pre-matric scholarship among 389 SC students of Ramban

RAMBAN: Social Welfare Department Ramban today released an amount of Rs.11.67 lakh as pre-matric scholarship for 389 SC category students under the Central Sponsored Scheme.

“The pre-matric scholarship has been sanctioned in favour of 389 students belonging to SC category and studying in Classes 9th & 10 of different schools in Education Zones of Batote & Gool” District Social Welfare Officer, Wahid-ul-Rehman informed .

He further stated that the pre-matric scholarship scheme aims at encouraging SC and other category children to pursue and continue studies. It has also helped in bringing down dropout rate of such children in educational institutions.
