Ghaziabad: In keeping with its glorious legacy, IMS Ghaziabad, a premier B-schools in India, proudly organized its grand “30th Annual Convocation 2021” for PGDM Batch 2018-20 & 2019-21 on October 30, 2021 at Hotel Radisson Blu, Kaushambi. Honorable Chief Guest, Dr. Harpreet A De Singh, Executive Director, Air India Limited; Director, Dr. Urvashi Makkar; General Secretary, Shri Rakesh Chharia; Treasurer, Shri Sanjay Agarwal; Executive Council Member, Shri Pramod Agarwal; Prof. K.K. Agarwal, Chairman, National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and Prof. Prem Vrat, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIT Dhanbad & IIT Mandi, conferred 527 PGDM Diplomas to enthusiastic post graduating students.

Presenting the Annual Report, Dr. Urvashi, showcased the numerous novel initiatives and commendable achievements of the institute. She highlighted the excellent 100% placements of students in elite A listed organizations of the stature of Deloitte, Mondelez, Dabur, Wipro and many more. She attributed the commendable success of the institute to the constant enablement and mentoring by Chairman, Shri Naresh Agarwal and Managing Trustee, Shri Nitin Agarwal as well as the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders.

In her Convocation Address, Dr. Harpreet A De Singh, emphasized that overhauling the entire business management ecosystem and right orientation of youth is the need of the hour to complement the dynamics of market trends. Congratulating the diploma recipients, Prof. K.K. Agarwal guided them to willingly seek challenges in their careers so as to navigate themselves towards the vast ocean of opportunities. He congratulated IMS Ghaziabad for making a distinguished place for itself in the domain of management education and consistently surpassing its own benchmarks. Prof. Prem Vrat, guided the students to unleash themselves from any constraints and make best use of their unique skills and capabilities to achieve success in the dynamic world. Blessing the euphoric students, the eminent members of IMS Executive and Governing Council, called upon them to understand the true virtues of life and make valuable contributions towards nation building. The brochure of Corporate Development and Excellence Center, the upcoming training and consulting vertical of IMS Ghaziabad, was unveiled in the august presence of numerous doyens from industry and academia.

During the glittering ceremony, the diploma recipients were administered the auspicious oath. The meritorious students of both the batches were awarded Medals and Cash Scholarships for academic excellence. From PGDM Batch 2018-20, cash scholarships of 50,000 and 25,000 were awarded to Arpita Kumra and Hiral Jain respectively for securing First and Second position in first year. The overall toppers Arpita Kumra and Mansi Aggarwal were awarded Gold and Silver Medals respectively. In PGDM (IB) Batch 2018-20, Bhavya Tyagi and Karan Khurana were the proud recipients of cash scholarships of 50,000 and 25,000 respectively. The overall toppers Bhavya Tyagi and Shree Deeksha bagged the Gold and Silver medals respectively. The PGDM First Year Toppers from Batch 2019-21, Tanya Verma and Sakshi Agarwal received scholarships of 50,000 and 25,000 respectively. Priyanshi Singhal and Sakshi Agarwal grabbed Gold and Silver Medals respectively for being the overall toppers. Dr. Urvashi congratulated the exuberant students and wished them a bright and successful career ahead.

The excitement, exuberance and enthusiasm of the jubilant students reached its zenith during the Cap Throwing Ceremony. As a grand finale to the shimmering ceremony, a Press Conference was held in which luminaries from leading media houses joined the discussion.
