Advisor Khan visits Rahat Manzil orphanage; Asks students to compete with mainstream schools; excel in every walk of life
SRINAGAR: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan today visited the Rahat Manzil orphanage here at Batamaloo and took stock of the facilities provided there.
The Advisor inspected the school run by the orphanage and visited several classes to interact with the students. He asked them that they should not feel themselves underprivileged and should compete in every fashion with the students of mainstream schools.
Khan encouraged them to aspire high and dream big. He asked them that they are the assets of the nation and whole nation is at their back in realization of their ambitions. He maintained that this government is ever ready to offer every sort of support to make their future bright.
The Advisor wished them best with the promise of making their life and future more prospective. He applauded the administration of the orphanage for taking good care of hundreds of orphans at this facility from length and breadth of J&K.
The Advisor asked the administrators to plan for their exposure tours, picnics, and other outings along with the recreational activities for these students. He remarked that government would provide them all out support in such endeavors besides in the academic and other facilities given to the students.
On the occasion the Advisor also visited the hostels, dining hall and other facilities of the orphanage. He asked the administration to provide best of the facilities to the children as it is something worth doing.
Director General, Social Welfare, Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Dar and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
