An international panel discussion(online) dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Lev Vygotsky’s birth will be held in Russia

On November 17th, from 9:00 to 20:30(UTC+3), a panel discussion on “Vygotsky’s role in solving the problems of giftedness” will be held within the framework of the scientific conference “Psychology of Creativity and Giftedness”, based in the Psychological Institute of RAO. 

The event will feature 35 speakers from Russia, Greece, the USA, Japan, Spain, Brazil and Poland. The broadcast is planned in Russian and English with the support of the University of Childhood Foundation.

Experts will talk about the problems in education, playing, the role of an adult, the development of creativity and of higher (cultural) mental functions, as well as the prospects for the development of cultural and historical psychology, its theory and practice in different countries.

One of the objectives of the discussion is the analysis, generalization and evaluation of experience in the development of cultural and historical psychology in Russia and abroad.

On November 17, at 13.30 (UTC+3) Ekaterina Rybakova, the Founder of the University of Childhood Foundation, Co-Founder and President of the Rybakov Foundation, will present a report on the role of philanthropic organizations in the implementation of relevant and effective principles of personality development according to Vygotsky.

The event is open to anyone who is interested.
