DLSA Pulwama observes National Legal Services Day

PD&SJ stresses for mass awareness among weaker sections, disabled persons about free legal services

 

PULWAMA : Under the aegis of NALSA and JKLSA and also in compliance to the Action plan issued by JKLSA under PAN India Awareness cum Outreach programme, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Pulwama, organized an awareness programme on the ‘Empowerment of Women through Legal awareness’.

The Awareness cum Outreach programme was organised under the Supervision of Abdul Rashid Malik, Chairman, DLSA Pulwama, in collaboration with National Commission for Women and Government Degree College for Women Pulwama and One Stop Centre Pulwama.

The programme was attended by large number of Teacher of various Schools, Asha Workers, Anganwadi Worker and employees of ICDS Department Pulwama.

Chairman, DLSA Pulwama, Abdul Rashid Malik was chief guest on the occasion.

Advocate Waheda Anjum and Fazana were the resource persons.

Principal Government degree College Pulwama presented the welcome address and Dr. Ajaz Ahmed Bund, Assistant Professor highlighted the aim of this awareness programme.

Adv. Wasim Shah and Masood Ahmed Magrey also spoke on the topic besides a few participants also deliberated on the subjeect.

The main aim and purpose of organizing this programme was to aware the women about their rights guaranteed by the constitution and they were also made aware about laws regarding maintenance rights, DV Act, Property rights and etc.
