PCB conducts anti-polythene drive in Udhampur Market

 

UDHAMPUR: Pollution Control Committee Udhampur today conducted an anti-polythene drive under the supervision of District Officer Pollution Control Committee, Bader Hussain, here at Chopra Shop Market.

During the drive, around 40 kilograms of banned polythene related materials were seized and a fine of Rs 5000 was recovered from the defaulters.

The District Pollution Officer sensitized the shopkeepers about the harmful effects of polythene and advised them to refrain from using or selling polythene materials. He said that the main objective of conducting seizure of polythene throughout the market area was to make Udhampur polythene free.
