JanJatiya Gourav Divas celebrated with patriotic Fervour across Samba

SAMBA  : District Administration Samba, in collaboration with Tribal affairs department, today celebrated Jan Jatiya Gourav Divas to pay homage to Iconic tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda and other tribal leaders of pre-independence era, here at A-One resort Thandi khui Samba.

District Development Council member Suriya Begum; Additional District Development Commissioner Tilak Raj Shastri; Additional Deputy Commissioner Suram Chand Sharma were present at the function organized on the Birth Anniversary of.

During the day, several activities which included singing of patriotic songs, Gujjar folklore, Gojri mushairas, speeches and other activities, were organised by the district administration in coordination with the tribal department to mark the celebrations.

It was informed that the programme will continue till 22nd of November to give wider publicity to the various schemes meant for uplift of tribal communities.

Later certificates were distributed among the participants and special invites.

Sub Divisional Magistrate, Vijaypur Vinay Sharma, Sarpanch Bari, Badhori, Deon, Warden Gijjjar Hostel besides public in large numbers were also present.
