Larsen & Toubro Ltd hires AMU engineering graduates
Aligarh : Despite increasing layoffs and complexities in student placements due to the pandemic; job offers for the Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) students saw an uptick as 21 engineering graduates were hired by the multinational conglomerate, Larsen & Toubro Ltd.
The hired students are Ajfer Intekhab (B. Tech Mechanical), Mihul Bansal (B. Tech Mechanical), Rehan Siddiqui (B. Tech Mechanical), Mohammad Tazeem Khan (B. Tech Mechanical), Shivam Gupta (B. Tech Mechanical), Mohd Azim (B. Tech Mechanical), Shubham Jain (B. Tech Mechanical), Vinayak Varshney (B. Tech Mechanical), Chirag Gangal (B. Tech Electronics), Priyanka Gupta (B. Tech Electronics), Sonal Gupta (B. Tech Electronics), Anshul Gautam (B. Tech Civil), MD Aquib (B. Tech Civil), Muhammad Raashid Khan (B. Tech Civil), Salman Khan (B. Tech Civil), Srashti Gupta (B. Tech Civil), Aditya Mishra (B. Tech Electrical), Hina Tomar (B. Tech Electrical), Kunal Sharma (B. Tech Electrical), Mohit Kumar (B. Tech Electrical) and Yash Bharwaj (B. Tech Computer).
“These student engineers were offered bright opportunities after a rigorous selection process. They have matched the Larsen & Toubro value system with their strong knowledge base, skills to apply concepts and passion for excellence”, said Mohd Farhan Saeed, Training and Placement Officer, ZHCET.
He added: The hired students will work on technical projects, individual assignments and product simulations in construction, hydrocarbon engineering, power transmission and distribution, metallurgical and material handling, heavy engineering, design-to-delivery solutions across the defence spectrum, defence shipbuilding, mining machinery, technology services, infrastructure development projects and metro project in public-private partnership mode.
Over 165 students appeared for the online interviews conducted by the Training and Placement Office of ZHCET.
