GVT conducts IEC activities under JJM ; Activities being carried out under the Har Ghar Nal se Jal initiative

ANANTNAG: Gramin Vikas Trust (GVT), an implementation and support agency for Jal Jeevan Mission conducted IEC activities in Block Chittergul, Anantnag. During the gram sabha, the people were given a brief introduction of JJM and a general overview of the works being implemented as part of Project JJM.

The Panchayat Pani Samitis were also reactivated on the occassion and necessary reconstitution took place. The people were made aware of the role of PPS. It was also informed that a CAPEX/OPEX bank account shall be made operational in the name of PPS for decentralized disbursal of funds.

The participants were informed about Aadhaar linking of their water connections so that the same may be updated on the JJM portal. The gram sabha was attended by the Sarpanch, VLWs and other functionaries and members of the civil society.
