Ural Federal University: UrFU Has Maintained Its Position in the QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia University Rankings 2022
The Ural Federal University is ranked 11th among QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia University Rankings 2022. In the overall list, UrFU is at 32nd position.
“Our university maintains its academic reputation by implementing joint research and development with scientists all over the world, as well as strengthening connections with leading employers, including many international companies. These efforts of our scientists and professors are represented in the ranking and allow the university to move forward confidently, develop science and education, and become more attractive for international partnerships,” emphasized Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU.
The authors of the ranking noted that Russian universities make up about a third of the total number of participants – Russia is represented by 134 universities from 450 universities in different countries.
“Russia has the widest representation among the top universities in developing Europe and Central Asia. In addition, Russia has the highest number of universities in the top 10 and top 100 of the published rankings,” said Ben Sauter, director of the QS agency.
The rating criteria include academic reputation, reputation among employers, faculty-student ratio, number of scientific publications, citations, the amount of international students, etc.
