“This year, from 120 scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students – 47 are awarded to students from UrFU, and from 35 scholarships for postgraduate students – 27 are awarded to UrFU young researchers. Because of such remarkable and capable students, our university is developing and improving. I would especially like to note that many of you receive not just one scholarship, but two, three or even four. And the university, from its side, is always ready to support you, so that your work is worthily appreciated. I congratulate you! You are great students,” stressed Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU.
The amount of scholarship for PhD students is 2,000 rubles a month and for students – 1,500 rubles. Students receive the scholarship at once. There is a coefficient of 10% increase to the amount of the scholarship for the second time and 20% for the third and more times.
“It’s always very gratifying when you get an award, and it’s especially rewarding when you’ve done something and get that outcome of your work. I am engaged in the analysis of time series and their forecasting”, told Yulia Timosheeva, PhD student and the scholarship holder.
The scholarship was also awarded to three international postgraduate students: Osman Kanwugu and Ephraim Agyekum from Ghana, Bakhtiyor Goziev from Tajikistan.
“UrFU gave me a great chance to develop myself and strive for something more. Receiving the governor’s award is very important for PhD students, because such recognition gives an incentive for future development”, shared his impressions a PhD student from Tajikistan Bakhtiyor Goziev.
