Good Governance Week: Training programme for government functionaries held at Kupwara

KUPWARA : As part of Good Governance Week Celebration, a training programme for Government functionaries was conducted at Deputy Commissioner’s Office Kupwara today.

The programme was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat.

The officers from district administration, Revenue officers including Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, employees of DC Office Kupwara participated in the training programme.

Speaking at the occasion, the ADC urged government functionaries to play a pro-active role in resolving the public grievances. He threw light on the concept of Good Governance Mechanism and asked officers to come up to the expectations of the public.

He said District administration has a vibrant Mechanism for grievances redressal and a team of officers and officials are working on it regularly.

The ADC also made officers familiar with the procedures for follow-up of cases.

On the occasion, a special expert gave training to the officials for best record keeping, filing, receipt and dispatch of papers and other required methods. He also stressed upon them to ensure transparency at every level.

Various other officers also spoke on the occasion and shared their experiences.
