“Education must adapt and keep pace with the changing society. I see online exams pushing the formal method of education to take the direction of technological progress. It is important for private and government colleges to join this movement to create meaningful and sustainable reforms that protect and promote the right to learn to its fullest.” Said, Sri KS Sarma, Retd. IAS and Founding Commissioner of Navodaya Schools.
A student is likely to be under significant stress during exams. It is especially critical time for students of Intermediate 2nd year as they aspire to get into the best of engineering and medical institutes. It would be welcoming if colleges could provide the means for students to practice enough, since 60% of the scores are determined by how much student practices. Making use of readily-available technology can help colleges catch up with the time in this short duration and pave the way for students to succeed.” Said, Dr. C Veerender, Psychologist and Educationalist.
Preparedness of colleges and students to sit through a computer-based EAMCET exam is similar to the time when JEE was made online in 2018. Majority of junior colleges in the Telugu States are not equipped with the infrastructure to instruct, or assess students through digital means. Today, it has become a necessity for colleges to adapt and facilitate a computer-based testing environment for students to thrive in online exams.
