MRG School’s 100 days reading campaign gets a successful start
New Delhi: MRG School, one of the leading K-12 schools in Delhi, has launched a 100-day reading campaign under the Padhe Bharat Abhiyan. It aligns with an initiative launched by CBSE to develop creativity, skills, and critical thinking in the students of Balvatika (Nursery) to Class VIII. MRG School has begun this campaign from the start of this new year.
Students and parents are equally excited and have displayed their keen willingness in this engaging and insightful activity. Keeping in mind, the CBSE guidelines Week-wise subject-wise roaster has been shared with the teachers. Under this, a weekly class-wise calendar of activities is shared with the learners. The activities are designed in a creative manner and involve the participation of parents, siblings, peers, or any other family members.
Explaining the ‘100 Days Pathan Abhiyan’, Ms. Anshu Mital, Principal, MRG School, said,“Reading is becoming a distant activity in this new age of gadgets and we are glad that CBSE has started such a meaningful campaign for the young generation. Reading is a very important virtue that must be inculcated in children from early childhood. It unlocks multiple benefits for lifelong and makes the learner a well-informed one. It also helps in developing a robust vocabulary and effective communication skills. The support of MRG parents received for this activity is also commendable for all three languages taught in the school.”
