AMU observes Martyrs’ Day

ALIGARH : Aligarh Muslim University yesterday observed the Martyrs’ Day to mark the death anniversary of the Father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi and the University siren was blown for observing the silence.

Two-minute silence was observed at 11:00 am at VC lodge, various offices, faculties, departments, colleges and schools, including the Registrar’s lodge, Department of Economics, Saiyid Hamid Senior Secondary School, AMU Girls’ School, Abdullah School, etc.

The teachers, students and non-teaching staff stood up to observe two minutes’ silence as a mark of respect to the Father of the Nation.
