DC Poonch flags off 3 critical care Ambulances to far-off health institutions

 

POONCH : Deputy Commissioner Poonch Inder Jeet today flagged off 3 critical care Ambulances to far off health Institutions of this border district.

The Ambulances have been provided to PHC Loran of Block Mandi, PHC Fazlabad of Block Surankote and PHC Bhatadurian of Block Mendhar which will be available on 108 call centre service.

With the launch of three new vehicles, the total number of critical care Ambulances connected to 108 call services in the district has reached eleven as 8 such vehicles were already available in different areas.

Chief Medical Officer, Poonch Dr. G.A Malik , Medical Superintendent, Dr. Mushtaq Hussain Jafri besides staff members of health department were present at the flag off ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the ambulance service will fill health infrastructural gap and further improve healthcare services by facilitating timely evacuation of the patients in far flung areas in case of medical emergency and save precious lives.

He said that provision of ambulance service was the long pending demand of these areas and the same will provide a big relief to the local people. He further said the public can call on 108 numbers for utilizing the service of Ambulance.
