AMUAAQ Celebrates the Qatar Sports Day with the theme “Sport is Life”
Doha: The Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association Qatar (AMUAAQ) an Associate Organization (AO) of ICBF Under the aegis of the EMBASSY OF INDIA organized various sporting activities on the Qatar National Sport Day, in accordance with the precautionary measures to limit the COVID-19 spread. Various sports activities including Soccer, races, Badminton, Cycling and Kite flying were organized for the participants with adherence of COVID protocol. All the attendees took part in each event enthusiastically and with great confidence.
The activity happened at the beautiful venue of Crescent Park, Lusail under the managing committee of AMUAAQ presided by Dr. Nadeem Zafar Jilani.
The Alumni of Aligarh Muslim University in Qatar actively engaged in promoting Welfare, social, Health care, educational, sports activities in Qatar and in India.
Participants and their family said: “It was really fun and fitness-based event where they realize the importance of games and sports.
In a discussion on this occasion, President AMUAAQ Dr. Nadeem Jilani said that encouraging sports and achieving awareness of its importance as we all know that Health is Wealth.
Dr Nadeem appreciated the managing committee coordinators Mohammad Faisal Naseem, (VP), Mohammad Farman Khan (GS), Dr. Ashna Nusrat (VP-Ladies) and Heads Mr. Farrukh Ali Farooqi, Mamnoon Ahmad Bangash, Dr. Syed Intekhab Alam, Ghazala Yasmeen, Dr. Shima Sadaf and Abad khan.
On the occasion of the National Sports Day, AMUAAQ Chairman, Jawed Ahmad said, Qatar is the first country in the world that celebrates sports day that reflects life’s positive values, this year has a special zest and slogan is “Sport is Life”, as Qatar will host one of the most important global sports event, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and we all unitedly stand and wish Qatar for successful accomplishment of FIFA 2022.
Najmul Hassan Khan, Lutfi Kakar, Syed Shahabuddin, Ali Imran, Omar, Khurshid Qamar, Anjum, Ashfaq Ahmad, Dr. Zainab Malik, Waheeduzzaman and AMUAQ Toastmasters representatives jointly attended and graced the occasion.
At the end as a token of appreciation each category winners & runners up were presented with the certificate and gift while Refreshments were provided by the committee members.
