Montblanc and AB de Villiers collaborate on special edition Montblanc #My4810 Trolley for charity fundraising drive
Delhi: International cricketer and Montblanc ambassador AB de Villiers made a special appearance in Delhi last week, to present an exclusive edition of Montblanc #MY4810 Trolleys that include his signature and an original artwork depicting his love for India. A total of 14 pieces have been created for the initiative, with all up for auction to raise funds for de Villiers’ nominated charity – the Tamahar Trust that improves the lives of special needs children and their families.
The special edition #MY4810 Trolleys were signed and presented by de Villiers at a VIP reception in the Montblanc boutique at Taj Mahal Hotel, Man Singh, during which the cricketing legend elaborated on the artistic design created together with international calligrapher and artist Hakim Idriss. The personalised artwork captures, in charming illustration, what De Villiers loves most about India – including cricket, the people and its many cultures. All 14 travel trolleys will be auctioned online through e-auction company C1India, with bidding open between 6th and 31st May. All proceeds will be donated to Tamahar Trust, whose mission it is to foster acceptance and inclusion in society of children with special needs, and provide access to the right resources to enable this.
Franck Juhel, President of Montblanc Middle East, India and Africa said: “We’re delighted to support AB’s charity of choice for this initiative, and to contribute to the work of the non-profit foundation. Each Montblanc #My4810 Trolley includes an original artwork and signature by AB, and we know that owning such a unique piece will appeal to his many fans across India, as well as support an exceptionally worthy cause.”
