Dr. Bimlesh Lochab becomes second Indian Woman Scientist to be elected as Royal Society of Chemistry Fellow
Greater Noida : Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR, is proud to announce that Dr. Bimlesh Lochab, Professor with the Department of Chemistry, has joined the prestigious ranks of eminent scientists to be elected as Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), UK. She was invited by the world’s leading chemistry community through its ‘Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC)’ scheme, which identifies outstanding individuals in the chemical sciences for their significant contributions.

Dr. Lochab is a globally recognized Indian researcher in the field of Green Chemistry. An alumnus of University of Oxford, she is an expert on both synthetic and materials chemistry. She is well-known for her research on synthesis, functionalization, and conjunction of both – nano and polymeric materials using the tenets of green chemistry. Her research on the use of Sulfur for next generation battery lithium-sulfur battery as an alternative to the existing lithium-ion battery has been globally recognized and applauded.
A Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry is selected after multiple rounds and must have made a significant impact to their field of chemical sciences. The distinction requires acceptance and adherence to established set of high global standards of ethical and professional behavior. Approximately 50 new fellows are elected from the worldwide community of chemists, each year.
