RMIT: RMIT and BAU announce new partnership for future skills in design

RMIT Online’s User Experience Design, User Interface Design and Customer Experience Strategy and Design short online courses are now part of BAU’s cutting-edge educational offering for professionals in the design and communication fields.
With a recent World Economic Forum report ranking ‘user experience’ among the top 15 skills in high demand by organisations in Spain, the BAU and RMIT partnership is set to play a key role in empowering professionals to upskill and prepare for the future.

Running for six weeks, the online courses feature interactive videos, assignments, prescheduled webinars as well as 1:1 online mentoring from industry.

RMIT Online CEO Helen Souness said the collaboration presents an exciting opportunity for RMIT and BAU to bring their aligned learning vision to professionals looking to upskill and supercharge their performance.

“In a time defined by rapid technological advancements, the demand for UX, UI and CX designers far outweighs the supply.

“These credentialled courses provide the latest tools, techniques and skills to elevate design careers and increase attractiveness to employers,” Souness said.

“Our collaboration with BAU – one of the leading arts and design educational institutions in Barcelona – is a positive step forward for both RMIT Online and the region.”

BAU Founder and Director Elisabeth Plantada said the new collaboration aligns with BAU’s mission to be a ‘driving force of knowledge and innovation at the service of society’.
“We’re excited to be partnering with RMIT Online for the delivery of this online educational offering and to empower design and communication professionals to upskill, grow and succeed in the profession.”
