Ural Federal University: University Develops Cooperation with Czech Republic Partners

Cooperation between Ural Federal University and partners in the Czech Republic will be developed in science, academic mobility, and through cultural exchange. Rector Victor Koksharov and Consul General of the Czech Republic in Ekaterinburg Silvia Šimkovičová agreed on this at a meeting at the university.

“Scientists at our university are developing 10 joint research projects with partners in the Czech Republic, their main areas are materials science and physics. Of course, we are aimed at deepening academic and educational cooperation. The university has all opportunities for this: English-language bachelor’s, master’s and PhD programs, in addition, 12 international laboratories headed by leading foreign scientists are being developed,” noted Victor Koksharov.

Ural Federal University cooperates with 15 universities, research centers, and companies in the Czech Republic. Over the past five years, researchers from the university, together with partners in the Czech Republic, have prepared 79 publications. Due to exchange programs in 2019-2021, 16 students of the university visited universities in the Czech Republic, and 6 students of the republic studied at UrFU.
