Research Scholar awarded 1st Prize ‘All India Best Student Paper Award-2021’
Aligarh: Research Scholar Ms Priya Vaidya (Senior Research Fellow) in the Department of Library and Information Science, AMU has secured the first position in the Best Student Paper Award-2021 contest, organized by Kerala Library Professionals’ Organization (KELPRO). The award contains a certificate of merit, a cash prize of Rs15, 000 (fifteen thousand), and a free subscription to KELPRO Bulletin for two years. Prof Nisar Ahmad Khan, the Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, AMU presented the award.
Ms Vaidya paper entitled “Redesigning Library Services during ‘Re-Tuned Normal’: librarians’ experiences amid pandemic in India” won the award.
The researcher highlighted the experiences and hardships faced by the state and deemed-university librarians during the outbreak of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in India.
The study findings are helpful to the library professionals who can have the potential to bring change in state university libraries and efficiently serve the regional community by introducing the recent method from the best practices.
Prof Nishat Fatima (Chairperson), Prof Naushad Ali (Ph.D Supervisor), Prof Mehtab Alam Ansari, Dr Mohammed Nazim , other staff members and research scholars were present.
