11th Annual Inaugural Ceremony of AMU Malappuram Centre

 

Aligarh : The Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Centre organised its 11th Annual Day celebrations inaugural ceremony. The event was held in virtual mode on 28th February.

The Chief Guest of the event Prof IA Khan (Coordinator in charge of AMU regional centres) discussed the history of the establishment of the AMU Centres and correlated these centres as part of the vibrant Aligarh movement.

In his presidential address, the director of Malappuram centre Dr Faisal KP informed about the development of the centre and the number of professionals it has produced who are serving the society at different levels.

Several students from the three departments at the centre presented their artworks. Several alumni addressed the students. The student performances included a poem recitation by Fatima S Yasha Arif , who spoke on the topic of ‘Importance of Hijab’. Mohammed Azeem recited Naat, Mustafa recited a poem in Urdu, Iqra Shamim gave a speech on the phases of development of the Malappuram centre, Uzma also recited a Naat, Saniya delivered self composed poem and the last performance was by Maaz who gave a speech.

Dr Mohammad Basheer, coordinator of the education department and convener presented a welcome address and Ms Sadaf Shaikh, a student of BALLB gave a brief overview of the event.

Dr Shally Victor, teacher in-charge of the event paid a vote of thanks.
