LPU Organized Summer School Program for Kids and Students

Jalandhar: Division of Student Welfare (DSW) of Lovely Professional University organized LPU Summer School Program 2019 from 10th June to 30th June, and LPU Summer Camp 2019 from 4th June to 25th June. Both these programs aimed at imparting valuable skills and knowledge to the participants and thus helping them utilize their summer holidays to their best potential. The participants were trained by skilled and highly educated LPU faculty.

The camp was organized for kids of age 6 to 14 years including the children of LPU faculty. Witnessing participation from 100+ kids, this edition of LPU summer camp incorporated a variety of learning activities and fun events for the young participants. It was a sincere effort to inculcate the skills like dance, theater, music, art and craft, cook and serve, sports, anchoring, building a dynamic personality etc which ultimately contributed to building their confidence, competence & personality. This delightful journey concluded with a valedictory ceremony on 25th June, 2019 where kids beautifully presented the learnt skills in the form of exuberant performances on stage.

On the other hand the Summer School gave exposure to hundreds of school and college students about different programs to discover and decide their career path from the fields of Computer Science Engineering (Android Programming), Business & Management (MS Excel, statistics for Decision Making, Basics of SPSS) Professional Enhancement (Verbal Ability & Soft Skills), Performing Art (Light Vocal & Guitar) Physiotherapy (Cardio Pulmonary Investigations) & Co-Curricular Development (Cultural Heritage), Computer Literacy Program etc. This program provided an opportunity to school students to experience university life before attending college and make an informed career choice by learning from highly educated faculty. All of them held LPU Pedagogy in high esteem and expressed their thankfulness to LPU for guiding them towards the right direction.
