Representatives of German company hold talks for establishing centre of excellence
Shimla: The representatives of the German company M/s Export-Akademie Baden-Wurttemberg held meeting with Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi and other senior officers of the state government here last evening regarding establishing Indo-German centre of excellence for innovation and technology management in the State.
This company had shown keen interest to invest in Himachal Pradesh during the visit of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur to Germany where he held detailed discussions during the road show at Frankfort.
Dr. Baldi said that the State was keen in setting up a centre of excellence for innovation and technology management and technology as a nucleus for innovation and regional development. This would ensure promotion of clean technologies and automation in the State and linking up of cluster with technology clusters in Germany.
He assured the Germany representatives that state government would provide all possible help for setting up of the centre of excellence in the State.
Partner and CEO Export-Akademie Baden Wurttemberg Prof. Bertram Lohmuller said that the centre would go a long way in building up regional innovation hubs and learning regions for start-up companies and matchmaking between start-up companies and potential investors.
President, European Canter for Mechatronics- Partner to ITA RWTH Aachen University, Germany Vangapandu Venkatanagaraju was also part of this delegation.
Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar, Managing Director, Kaushal Vikas Nigam Rohan Chand Thakur, Director, Industries Hansraj Sharma, Director, Technical Education Shubhkaran, Registrar, HP University Ghanshyam Chand were present on the occasion among others.
