Principal Secretary SED visits Ramban; reviews progress on construction of KGBV building, Chanderkote
RAMBAN : Principal Secretary, School Education Department (SED), B.K Singh, today visited Ramban to take stock of functioning of the department in the district.
Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, Director School Education, Jammu, Ravi Kumar Sharma, ACR, Dherindra Sharma, CEO, Dev Anand and other officers were present on the occasion.
While interacting with students at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Chanderkote, Principal Secretary asked the students to focus on their academics besides taking part in extracurricular activities for their overall personality development. He exhorted upon them to deeply understand the basic concepts of their subjects and work hard towards achieving excellence in academics. He also advised them to hold health discussions with each other to clear their doubts.
Principal Secretary, while enquiring about the quality of education being provided to the students, assured them that adequate competent staff shall be provided to school for further improving standards of education and management in the school.
Principal Secretary directed the CEO to immediately provide sports material to students for their physical fitness besides ensuring all basic facilities and requirements at school for convenience of the students.
While assessing physical and financial progress on construction of the new building of KGBV, Principal Secretary directed the executive agency to complete the work within the stipulated time frame so that the functioning of the school starts in the new building.
During a brief meeting at Chanderkote, Deputy Commissioner apprised the Principal Secretary of status of various ongoing projects being executed under the education sector in the district.
