AYUSH Samba hosts Free Health checkup for school children

 

SAMBA : Department of AYUSH on Sunday organized a free health checkup camp at Government High School Palli, Bari Brahmana.

During the Free school health checkup camp, Dr. Nishpank Sharma, Medical Officer Government Ayush Dispensary, Koulpur and Pharmacist Hakam Din Mallik, under supervision of Deputy Commissioner Samba, gave lecture on healthy life style through positive intervention of AYUSH. The doctor spoke on holistic wellness through self care, & home remedies on the time tested traditional health systems in a cost effective way.

It is pertinent to mention here that Department of AYUSH, J&K, on the directions of Director AYUSH Dr. Mohan Singh, has adopted Panchyat Palli as AYUSH GRAM, and various initiatives have been taken for transforming lives of rural people.

District Nodal Officer Ayush, Dr Vikram Singh Jamwal informed that a total 56 children participated in the camp in presence of headmistress of GHS Palli, Kamaljeet. The Nodal offcer said students were screened for various deficiency diseases, Anemia, worms , ear infection, hand and foot diseases, jaundice, dwarfism etc.

Free Ayush immunity boosting medicines were distributed among the students and staff of school, he said.

A lecture was delivered by Dr Nishpank Sharma about common deficiencies, diseases and the way to cure it through healthy balanced diet, good lifestyle, including yoga in daily routine.
