DC Kulgam reviews implementation/ progress under Youth initiative programmes

 

KULGAM : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting here to review the implementation and progress made under various Youth initiative programmes.

At the outset of the meeting, Assistant Director (AD) Employment gave a detailed presentation regarding various schemes related to Youth.

He informed the chair that 175 applications have been approved under Mumkin scheme, out of which 155 stand sponsored to banks for sanction of loan cases and so-far under Mumkin scheme, 97 vehicles stand distributed among beneficiaries.

He also added that under Tejeswini scheme, 59 applications have been approved by DLIC out of which 20 applicants have completed the training.

Besides, under Spurring Scheme 127 applications have been received and interviewed by DLIC for selection.

The AD Employment also highlighted the achievements of all others various schemes like SEI, Rise Together etc.

The Assistant Director (AD) Handicrafts & Handloom apprised the chair that 114 cases under credit card scheme for artisans and weavers have been sponsored while as the department under weavers MUDRA scheme has sponsored 120 Cases.

Addressing the meeting, the DC said that Young people should be respected, valued and listened to and be supported and encouraged in order to develop their innate abilities and talents for the benefit of themselves and society.

He asked the heads of ITIs, polytechnic to conduct meetings at least fortnightly and discuss the placement opportunities for pass out youth.

Meeting was attended by CPO , ACR , GM-DIC among others.

Later DC chaired a separate meeting of officers and reviewed Implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission, status of road macadamisation and progress of PMGSY schemes.
