Ural Federal University: 117 Students Compete for Prizes in I Am a Professional
117 Russian students made it to the finals of the “I am a Professional” All-Russian Student Olympiad in the directions of Ural Federal University. The final tests in Construction, Electronics, Radio Engineering and Communication Systems, Material Science and Material Technology, and Software Engineering will take place from April 14 to 22.
“Students will pre-load video presentations containing answers to the task in their personal account. After that there will be an online conference, during which the jury members will ask questions to the participants. In the development of tasks for the finals partner companies of the university took part. The tasks are based on real professional tasks,” told the organizers.
Thus, for the participants of the direction “Material Science and Technology of Materials” tasks were prepared on the basis of examples of typical parts of machines of the automotive industry and other branches of mechanical engineering. In solving the problems of the finalists of “Electronics, Radio Engineering and Communication Systems” the jury will evaluate non-standard approaches. The students will have to demonstrate not only the correctness of the task solution, but also the ability to visualize the data competently.
The results of the final stage will be announced in May. All “I Am a Professional” diploma holders will receive prizes: benefits for admission to master’s, postgraduate and residency programs at leading Russian universities, as well as the opportunity to undertake an internship in a major specialized company. Bronze, silver and gold medalists will receive money awards from 100 to 300 thousand rubles. Diploma holders will also receive a scholarship of up to 30,000 rubles when enrolling in Ural Federal University Master’s programs.
