Schiller, The Global American University, partners with LSE IDEAS to foster critical thinking in international affairs
Madrid, 20 April, 2022.- In line with the goal of offering learning experiences from top international
experts, Schiller International University has partnered with LSE IDEAS, the foreign policy thinktank of the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. During the week of July 4-8, 2022,
Schiller students will be able to attend lectures, participate in active exercises and engage in
dialogue with some of LSE IDEAS’ top scholars, who will address key issues in international
relations, and emphasize the importance of strategy and diplomacy in addressing the current
international policy context.
Marta Muñiz, Schiller’s CEO, said, “We are delighted to offer our students the chance to interact
with some of the world’s brightest analytical minds in foreign policy. In a world marked by the
volatility of international relations, this opportunity offers our students the chance to understand
global politics, foreign policy and current affairs, and develop critical thinking key to combating
misinformation. LSE IDEAS is the perfect partner for this, a global reference in the field of
International Relations.”
Chris Alden, Director of LSE IDEAS, Academic Director of this program and current Professor of
International Relations at LSE, added: “This is a unique opportunity to study global issues at a
leading foreign policy think-tank, at a time when understanding international relations is more
important than ever. We will hold lectures and discussions on the various implications of
globalization, the role of business in society, the implications of contemporary economic policy,
and what war in the 21st century means for the international system. We look forward to
collaborating with our colleagues at Schiller International University to unravel these complex
issues”.
The program is open to Schiller 4th year undergraduate and Master’s students from all majors with
an interest in foreign policy and international relations. Sessions will take place at the LSE campus
located in London.
