Professor Chris Davies appointed Interim Dean, Faculty of Engineering

Monash University is pleased to announce that Professor Chris Davies has been appointed to the role of Interim Dean, Faculty of Engineering, commencing on 1 July 2022.

Professor Davies joined Monash’s Faculty of Engineering in 1994 and was appointed Professor, Department of Materials Engineering in 2011. He has held academic leadership positions including Associate Dean (Research Training) (2009-2011); Head, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (2012-2021); and Deputy Dean (External Engagement) since 2021. In addition, Professor Davies served as President of the Academic Board (2016-2019).

Professor Elizabeth Croft, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, will depart Monash University at the end of June 2022 to take up an appointment as Vice-President Academic and Provost of University of Victoria, Canada.
