District Library Doda celebrates World Book Day
DDC interacts with students, advises them to imbibe book reading habit, asks to add new books
DODA : To mark World Book Day, the District Library Doda today held an impressive function which was attended by scores of students, book lovers and civil society members.
District Development Commissioner Vikas Sharama attended as Chief Guest in the program. He interacted with the students and members of civil society, besides inspecting the book stalls put up by the Library Department.
The DC advised the students to read quality books on a daily basis and imbibe book reading habits to gain real knowledge .
He instructed the concerned department to provide the books to the readers as per their requirement. The Nodal Officer of the department was asked to increase the reading hours in the library for the convenience of the students and readers at large.
Meanwhile the civil society members also spoke on the occasion and applauded the efforts of district administration and the Library department to start face-lifting of the institution and urged the students to promote the library culture among their peers.
Among others present were DEPO Doda, Librarian District Library, Civil society members, students, and other staff members.
