Kissan Baghidhari Prathmikta Hamari campaign intensified in Kathua
KATHUA : Under Kisan Baghidhari Prathmikta Hamari Campaign, Agriculture Department Kathua orgainzed two Training cum Awareness Programmes at Panchayat Athoon in Basohli and Panchayat Jandi in Hiranagar today.
During the camp at Athoon, the Subject Matter Specialist (DL) Krishan Kant emphasized on 100% KCC saturation of all the eligible farmers, e-KYC of all PM-Kisan beneficiaries and KCC-PM Kisan linkage.
The SDAO Basohli stressed on the importance of Spices cultivation in the monkey menace affected areas and cultivation of high value crops to raise the income of the farmers.
AEO, Zone Mahanpur briefed the farmers about the latest schemes of the Agriculture Department.
Sarpanch Athoon Gandharab Singh, PRI Members, Agriculture officers besides more than seventy farmers participated in the programme.
At Jandi, Zone Hiranagar, Subject Matter Specialist (SDL) Ashok Kumar laid emphasis on e-KYC of PM-Kisan beneficiaries, cultivation of Spices & Medicinal Plants, exploring the scope of Organic Farming and importance of Soil Health Card.
DDM, NABARD Kathua stressed upon the formation of FPOs for raising the socio-economic condition of the farming community.
Agriculture Extension Officer, Hiranagar also gave a detail presentation on Central Schemes being implemented by the department.
Over fifty farmers, PRI Members of concerned panchayat were also present on the occasion.
