SRCC Founder’s Day Address by Hon. Health Minister Shri Mansukh L. Mandaviya

 

 

New Delhi : On the occasion of the 138th Birth Anniversary of Sir Shri Ram, the Hon’ble Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh L. Mandaviya delivered the Founder’s Day Address virtually in presence of the Principal Prof. Simrit Kaur, Teachers and Students of the College. Principal Prof. Simrit Kaur welcomed the Chief Guest and addressed the students on the occasion.

 

The Programme started with floral tributes and Faculty members paid their homage to remember the legacy of the Founder.

 

The Hon’ble Minister addressed the gathering and stated that he was elated to be present on the occasion of the Founder’s Day of Shri Ram College of Commerce. He further stated how Sir Shri Ram was instrumental in creating an environment through the institutions that he fathered, which promoted the study of commerce and professional education in India. He acknowledged the contributions of Sir Shri Ram in promoting education especially for women.He created institutions which not only allowed but promoted women’s education in the country to study with equal opportunities.

 

Dr Mandaviya further went on to advice the students, giving them a few valuable pointers from his own experience about how to approach success in a holistic manner. The first of them was commitment and dedication. He stated how through the same values, India successfully emerged from the recent pandemic. By practicing commitment and dedication, India took great strides in vaccination and various other aspects of dealing with the pandemic. Furthermore, he stated that belief was quintessential in leading a productive and successful life, and correlated this to the 360 degrees approachof our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi who laid his trust and confidence in the scientists for the vaccination drive, for the industrialists to facilitate financial and economic growth amongst many others. He mentioned how these principles have brought India to the centre-stage of world politics by elevating its stature, and how we can do the same by incorporating these principles in our way of life, by taking inspiration from Sir Shri Ram and what he stood for.
