Day-long AISECT National Conference on the Role of Social Entrepreneurship conducted in the presence of Hon’ble Governor of MP, Mr Mangubhai Patel

New Delhi – – AISECT and Rabindranath Tagore University jointly organized a day-long national conference centred on the theme of ‘Role of Social Entrepreneurship.’  The conference was presided by the Hon’ble Governor of Madhya Pradesh Mr Mangubhai Patel who addressed the attendees on the role of providing equal opportunities to all sectors of the society to achieve economic progress. The event was organized at Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Hall, Bhopal, by Mr Vinay Upadhyay, Director, Tagore Vishwakala and Culture Center.

The agenda of the conference was around key areas of importance like Technology, Strategies and Insights on Financial Inclusion, Skill Development & Education, Social entrepreneurship as well as Technology-led innovation.

Highlighting the entrepreneurial landscape of the country, Mr Mangubhai Patel added that India is rapidly inching towards becoming a world leader in entrepreneurial opportunities. With over 65% of the country’s population in the rural areas, the need of the hour is to identify a working model that is inclusive and beneficial for all. The Hon’ble Governor also launched the Rojgarmantra Web portal, AISECT Academy of Animation as well as AISECT Learn (an e-learning platform) Portal at the conference.

Director at AISECT Group, Mr Siddharth Chaturvedi addressed the audience with a welcome note and said that efforts are being made to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation in the perspective of ‘Vocal for Local’ for an Atmanirbhar Bharat. He said that social-enterprise, skill-development, various activities of e-learning and area development are being conducted. Efforts have also been made to make youth self-reliant under Samarth Bharat Abhiyan in the adjoining areas of Raisen district

Sharing his inputs from a skilling perspective Mr. Arvind Bali, CEO, Telecom Sector Skill Council India, urged people across the country to join hands towards overall development. Mr. Bali highlighted the importance of Industry academia collaboration as well as the importance of skilling in becoming job-ready. Sharing highlights on the skills in the telecom sector, he said that the demand for drone applications will increase rapidly in future.

Addressing this occasion, the Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Mr. Santosh Choubey said that social entrepreneurship is the only way to identify and solve the needs of the society and build a sustainable economic landscape. He also highlighted AISECT’s vision plan of setting up1 lakh touchpoints of AISECT Seva Kendra (ASK) across India and to establish Skill Development based University. Highlighting the Skill Development initiatives undertaken by AISECT Group and Rabindranath Tagore University, Mr. Choubey mentioned that language and traditions are the core pillars of focus for the group in building a future-ready India. The also stated that the group is also establiging educational activities across North-East and South India.

Dr Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, Director of AISECT, and other key representatives working in the field of social entrepreneurship from across the country were present on the occasion.

Technical sessions on the topic of Role of Skilled Workforce in Making Atmanirbhar Bharat, Role of Micro Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurs in Making Atmanirbhar Bharat, Growth Opportunity Session for Entrepreneurs was addressed by Mr. Arvind Bali, Mr. Basab Banerjee, Co-Founders at Magic Billion, Ajita Karve from Tata STRIVE, Mr. Arjun Bahadur, Sattva Consulting, Dr. Nisha Pandey, Prof. Vivekananda Education Society Business School, Mumbai and Mr. Vivek Pratap Singh Chauhan, State Engagement Officer MP NSDC.

Social entrepreneurs were awarded across various categories by Mr. Shailendra Sharma, Chairman MP State Skill Development and Employment Generation Board, Mr. GN Agarwal, Additional Director MPSSDEGB and special guest Mr. Manoj Kumar Jain, Senior Advisor, AIGGPA Bhopal.
