India’s largest plumbing event Plumbex to kick start on 12th May

 

Sh. Hardeep Singh Puri, Honourable Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs will inaugurate Plumbex India, the largest Standalone exhibition on Plumbing, Water and Sanitation Products on 12th May. Indian Plumbing Association is conducting Plumbex India, a 3-day event, under the aegis of AMRUT 2.0 and SBM 2.0. Plumbex India will start on the 12th of May and will be conducted at Hall no.2, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Interesting deliberations on 24*7 Water Supply under AMRUT 2.0, Water Efficient Plumbing Products and Making India Water Positive with expert speakers from Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Bureau of Indian Standards and NAREDCO MAHI have been planned on all three days. Mrs. D. Thara, Additional Secretary MoHUA and Mission Director, AMRUT 2.0 will be the expert speaker on Day 2, 13th May and will shed light on the Govt. plans and policies.

India’s plumbing industry is poised to grow at a massive scale backed by the nation’s long-term objective to build world-class infrastructure. The country has a planned infrastructure grid of USD 1.4 trillion, which will steer the plumbing and allied industry in a positive direction.

The exhibitor’s profile will comprise a wide range of categories including but not limited to pipes & pumps, valves, water treatment plants, water heating systems, swimming pool systems, water harvesting, water metering, and much more. A pre-report will also be published mirroring new innovations in water challenges alongside offering information & insights on upcoming water treatment start-ups.

Besides existing enterprises, the 3-day event is an inviting field for start-ups working toward water innovation and Swachh Bharat Mission.

Under AMRUT 2.0, it has been decided to select 100 start-ups working towards water conservation/ recycling/ rejuvenation and offer financial assistance of INR 20 lakhs each. IPA already is working as a collaborating and advisory partner in the same. With Plumbex, it will further play a contributory role in identifying innovative water technology start-ups and help them link with relevant angel investors and incubator networks.

The event will also be visited by real estate developers, hoteliers, architects and designers, urban planners, academicians, students, etc. Over 300 govt. officials from AMRUT mission, state development agencies, housing boards, etc. will also participate in the exhibition.

On the first day of the event, IPA will sign an MOU with NAREDCO MAHI, the women- wing of the organization. As a part of the MoU, IPA will guide Naredco Mahi on the Jal Shakti Mission to achieve a saving of 500 crore litres of water per annum. Jal Shakti Mission members to convince builders to move towards “Net Zero Water”.

On the very same day, IPA will sign another MOU with COA (Council of Architecture) to create elaborate learning and knowledge-sharing platform for its members. Under the MOU, IPA will also help in creating a curriculum on the latest plumbing technology & practices for 480 COA affiliated architecture institutions.
