SKPS hosts 2- Day course on intellectual property rights, 5 day training on Cyber Forensics

 

UDHAMPUR :  A two day course on ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ and 5 day training programme on ‘Cyber Forensics’ commenced at Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur, here on Tuesday.

As many as 27 officers from different units/wings of J&K Police are participating in the training programmes.

The Inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officers. During the deliberations in inaugural session, emphasis was laid on adequate enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights, especially in the times when Indian economy is growing at a faster pace.

Concerns were raised during the course regarding the link between violations of IPRs and other organized crime like terror funding etc. which causes serious threat to public safety and security of the country.

The course on Cyber Forensics has been designed to enhance investigation skills of officers to tackle crimes in the virtual space, methodology of collecting digital evidence, e-mail tracking, Cyber pornography etc. The audience was informed that organizing such courses is the endeavour of DGP J&K and Director SKPA Udhampur.
