The Shriram Millennium School students demanding solution to the Climate Crisis

New Delhi: Greta Thunberg is not a climate scientist, nor does she possess any expertise when it comes to climate safety. In fact like most of us, she is an ordinary citizen of the world showing extraordinary willingness to do what most of us are not aware of. She has been tirelessly working towards bringing awareness around the climate crisis and bringing to light the urgency of acting now.

Millions of students are flooding the streets of Delhi and demanding positive action to stop the climate change, thereby uniting in a worldwide protest inspired by 16-year-old Swedish activist Greta Thunberg.

One such effort is being made by the students of The Shriram Millennium Group of Schools, where they are taking to the streets and protesting against climate change asking people to take action against a looming environmental catastrophe. The Shriram Millennium School believes in empowering its students and giving them opportunities to make a difference. Following their belief of nurturing the future leaders of tomorrow, the school is supporting the students from all 3 campuses as they join hands for this cause and take charge of working towards a better tomorrow. The Shriram Millennium School students along with their parents and staff members will join in this thought provoking student led event on September 27th, at Jantar Mantar between 8:30 am-12:30 pm to do their bit for the environment.

Talking about the involvement of school students, Ms. Uttara Singh, Director- Principal of The Shriram Millennium Group of Schools, “It is a wake up call for all of us where such young students have to lead the school for the safety of their own future. We must take action and take it now.”
