Ural Federal University: International Students Celebrated Victory Day

On May 9, to celebrate the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a grand meeting was held in front of the main academic building of Ural Federal University. It was organized by the management and the Military Training Center of the university.

Faculty and students of Ural Federal University, as well as residents of Ekaterinburg attended the meeting. As part of the event, the Immortal Regiment was held, led by Victor Koksharov, rector of Ural Federal University. Traditionally, participants carry portraits of their relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War. This year, students from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, China, and Vietnam joined the action.

The procession ended at the monument to the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War near the building of the Institute of Chemical Engineering. Students were able to personally communicate with veterans and the management of UrFU, as well as take pictures with them.
