2-day Cultural & craft festival concludes at Ramban; Thrilling performances by renowned artists enthrall audience
RAMBAN : The 2-day Cultural and craft Festival Ramban concluded with huge participation of culture and craft lovers, here today.
Highlighting the role of culture and craft in the development of the society, Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam encouraged the weavers and craftsmen to devote their expertise in improving the local craft to compete in the market. He further encouraged the people to invest in their experience and knowledge in tapping the huge potential for agro-based industry in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner was speaking at the evening session of the 2-day Cultural and Craft Festival here at Ramban.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the 2-day event aimed at promoting the local culture, languages, arts, crafts, tradition and other agriculture and allied products.
Lauding the efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Language (JK AACL) for organizing the UT level mega cultural and craft event in Ramban, the DC asked the concerned authorities for organizing similar events in other Sub-divisions of the district.
The Festival organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Language in collaboration with District Administration Ramban witnessed 3- mega cultural events which were highly liked by the audiences.
The DC also welcomed the gesture of the locals for evincing keen interest by turning up in huge numbers to participate in the festival.
Among others, Public representatives, Additional Secretary, JKAACL, Sanjeev Rana, Deputy District Election Officer, Ramban, Lal Chand, Principal, Govt. Higher Secondary School, Ramban, Kewal Krishan, faculty members, large numbers of locals, youth, besides art, culture & craft lovers were present on the occasion.
