Ural Federal University: University Expands Cooperation with Kyrgyzaltyn
The main areas of cooperation with the mining company were discussed by Victor Koksharov, Rector of the Ural Federal University, at a meeting with Zharasul Abduraimov, Chairman of the Management Board, during his visit to Bishkek. UrFU students and scientists will cooperate with Kyrgyzaltyn in the development of gold, copper, and antimony deposits.
“The University has very developed relations with Kyrgyzstan, and the main channel of interaction is the local branch of our alumni association. Cooperation with Kyrgyzaltyn will allow students from Kyrgyzstan to have internships in their country, and our scientists will help solve production problems,” Koksharov said.
The rector of the university held a meeting with members of the Kyrgyz Alumni Association, which is headed by Zharasul Abduraimov, a graduate of the Urals Polytechnic Institute (now UrFU). He graduated from the Mechanical Department in 1984 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in Electronic Technology.
“It is very important for us to see university alumni reach the heights of their profession and begin to help their alma mater in the training of future specialists,” the rector said.
