Nyangani FM 99.5 officially launched

13 May 2022 marked a momentous occasion in the development of community media in Zimbabwe with the official launch of Nyangani FM 99.5 established through financial and technical support from UNESCO. Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ), Transmedia and The Perch Media Trust worked with UNESCO to set up equipment and train the community volunteers working as radio producers and presenters.

Speaking at the launch event in Nyanga, Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Hon Monica Mutsvangwa emphasized the diversity in broadcasting that Nyangani FM is bringing.
