Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey to inaugurate Green Urja Conclave at IIT Delhi on World Environment Day

• Green Urja Conclave 2022 will be held by CRESPAI in association with IIT Delhi, IIM Lucknow and Hansraj College, Delhi University. • Green Globe Awards 2022 will be announced in 14 categories to honour individuals and institutions working for environment and green energy innovators

New Delhi: Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey will inaugurate the Green Urja Conclave 2022 and Green Globe Awards ceremony at IIT Delhi on World Environment Day, on June 5. The Union Minister will also honour the individuals and institutions working towards environment protection and green energy.

The Green Urja Conclave 2022 will be organised by Confederation of Renewable Energy Service Professionals and Industries (CRESPAI) in association with IIT Delhi, IIM Lucknow and Hansraj College, University of Delhi.

 Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Chaubey will also share his valuable insights at the Green Urja Conclave on India’s Global Journey towards Carbon Neutrality and the Government Policy to reduce carbon footprint and Global Warming.

 

Bollywood actor Darshan Kumar, known for his roles in films like Mary Kom and The Kashmir Files, will also grace the event and have Special Dialogue “Mass Adoption of EV: Role of Civil Society, Financial Bodies and Corporate Institutions” in a special session with CA Sudhir Kumar Dash, President, CRESPAI.

CRESPAI is a Delhi based non-governmental body working to promote the use of clean energy and the cause of environment to mitigate the challenges of climate change. It aims to create a knowledge base and online platform to support the Industries, Professional, NGOs and other stakeholders in the renewable energy sector.

 

“We all are aware that climate change is a reality and it demands immediate action from all the stakeholders from local to Central government bodies and international organisations. Both the public and private sector institutions will have to share the responsibility towards mitigating the impact of climate change. For sustainable development policy makers, industries and civil society organisations must come together. CRESPAI is working to promote clean energy and green environment by providing a platform for all stakeholders,” says CA Sudhir Kumar Dash, President, CRESPAI.

 

The first edition of the Green Urja Conclave was held at IIT Delhi last year. The cyclists, who completed 2200km expedition Bhubaneswar to Delhi, were conferred the Green Globe Award 2017.

This year, the second edition of Green Urja Conclave will be attended by many green heroes, environment activists and conservationists from across the country. The winners of the Green Globe Award 2022 will be announced in 14 categories to honour the individuals as well as organisations for their relentless work towards protection of environment and innovations in green energy. All the awardees will be selected by a committee of experts constituted by CRESPAI.

 

On this occasion CRESPAI in association with High Five Global will launch “The Planet Saviours Army” to create self-help groups and ensure united action plan through mega campaign in schools, colleges and educational as well as social institutions.
