Thapar University ranked 26th in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) released by MHRD
Mumbai: The NIRF rankings released by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) yesterday, have placed Thapar University at the 26th position. Jumping one position higher than last year, Thapar University was ranked on the basis of factors such “Teaching, Learning and Resources,” “Research and Professional Practices,” “Graduation Outcomes,” “Outreach and Inclusivity,” and “Perception”.
The NIRF framework outlines a strict methodology to rank institutions across the country. A core committee set up by MHRD has evaluated Thapar University and placed them in the list of leading institutions in India.
Thapar University is also ranked amongst the best private Engineering institute in the Northern region which includes Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, HP, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh. It has also been ranked amongst the leading engineering institutions by various publications such as Outlook and The week.
