Summer coaching camps for AMU girls

Aligarh : Sports enthusiasts among the girl students can channelise their energy in an array of summer coaching camps at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

As many as five such camps for the university’s female Non Resident Students Centre (NRSC) and residential students in the sports of Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Taekwondo will be held from June 10 to June 25 at the Women’s College Ground.

Prof Naima Khatoon (Principal, Women’s College) said: “This is an opportunity for all girl students with high running sports spirit. Summer vacation is the best time to take part in sports coaching camps”.

“Interested candidates can avail the registration forms from the Physical Education Section of Women’s College on all working days. Calls on phone number, 7983455650 will be attended for queries”, informed Dr Nazia Khan (Incharge, Physical Education Section).

Similarly, female NRSC and residential students and girls from various AMU schools can participate in a Cricket Summer Coaching Camp at the Abdullah Hall Ground from June 11 to June 25.

“Registration forms are available at the Provost Office, Abdullah Hall on all working days during the office hours”, said Dr Ghazala Naheed (Provost, Abdullah Hall).
